About this viz: This heatmap shows the intersection of self-reported environmental exposures at Questionnaire 1 (1995-1996) by participants' socioeconomic status quartile (where 4 is the highest quartile and 1 is the lowest).
Darker colors represent higher density, meaning more participants had that SES quartile and reported that particular exposure. Within the CTS, the most common exposures reported at baseline were working and/or living nearby landfill sites, oil refineries, and power plants.
The viz uses the BBC bbplot style to format the title, labels, and spacing.
