Sankey chart showing relationship between decade of birth, pregnancy timing, and what fertility treatments (if any) were used

About this viz: This Sankey chart shows the fertility experiences of California Teachers Study (CTS) participants. Data used in this chart were generated by questions asked on the first CTS questionnaire: 1) "Was there ever a time in your life when you tried (for at least 1 year) to become pregnant and could not?" and 2) "Did you ever take any of the following fertility drugs to try to become pregnant?"

This Sankey chart was created by identifying the potential sources and targets within the dataframe, and then counting the number of individuals with each source-target pair.

The first section of the Sankey chart shows the relationship between birth decade (source) and pregnancy timing (target). The second section shows the relationship between pregnancy timing (source) and fertility drugs used as treatment (target).
