Viz of the Month: March 2024

About this viz: This treemap shows the distribution of socioeconomic quartiles among rural and urban participants with cancer in the California Teachers Study. In this viz, 4 represents the highest socioeconomic quartile and 1 represents the lowest. The size of each box represents how many people were in that quartile.

Using this treemap, we can clearly see the socioeconomic differences between urban and rural participants with cancer: more urban participants were in the highest quartile (4), while more rural participants were in the lowest quartile (1).
